    Photographer: Unknown photographer
Notes: This is my grandad, worked for LT in the 60s

From Circa 1960 to Circa 1969

To LT sports and Social Association, Fairoaks with new c/r G-AIIZ.

Alan Bond comments (17 July 2020): As far as I am aware, this was one of a batch built by Morris Motors in 1941. It has been seen with the serial T6645 but this may be spurious. It may have been used in South Africa for the Empire Air Training scheme in WWII. It was operated by the LT sports and social association at Fairoaks in the 1960s and I did 7 and 1/2 hours of dual on it in the hope of getting my pilots licence. I am also led to believe that it was actually bought by London Transport for the use of the LTCRSSA as part of the subsidy for the sports association. I left LT in Jan of 1967 when I got married and never got my licence because my membership of the LTCRSSA lapsed. Good to see that it is still around even though damaged and under restoration.
