    Transferred to 5 Maintenance Unit, RAF Kemble.
    Preparation for squadron service.

    Transferred to 98 Squadron, RAF Jever, West Germany.

    November 1957

    Transferred to 229 OCU (Operational Conversion Unit), RAF Chivenor.

    1961

    Assigned to unknown location for storage.

    5 October 1961

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Navy with s/n WW654.

    Converted to a Hunter GA.11.
    Carried out at Hawker Aircraft Ltd Kingston-upon-Thames with the subsequent flight testing phase from Dunsfold.

    September 1962

    Transferred to 738 NAS, (Navy Air Squadron), RNAS Lossiemouth.
    Operated with markings: 650, LM

    From June 1963 to 1 June 1965

    Transferred to Short Brothers, Belfast.

    From 1 July 1965 to November 1974

    Assigned to 5 Maintenance Unit, RAF Kemble for storage.
    Mothballed.

    November 1974

    To Short Brothers, Belfast, for modernization.

    30 June 1975

    Transferred to Fleet Requirements and Direction Unit (FRADU), RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset.
    Operated with markings: 833, VL

    For many years served as lead aircraft in Blue Herons aerial display team flown by the team leader Derek Morter.

    11 February 1987

    New serial number assigned: A2754 RN
    The wings and front fuselage of WW654 were delivered by road to RNAS Culdrose along with the rear fuselage of GA.11 XF368. A composite airframe was assembled two months later, and following the assignment of the Fleet Air Arm maintenance serial A2754 it was refinished in extra dark sea grey and white colours.

    Transferred to School of Aircraft Handling, RNAS Culdrose.
    Operated with markings: 834, DD

    March 1993

    Assigned to RNAS Culdrose for storage.
    In 820 Naval Air Squadron Hanger.

    15 December 1993

    To Harry Pounds, Portsmouth.
    Moved to Portsmouth by road on 15th December 1993. It was placed in store for the next five years.

    1998

    To Peter Hague, Tangmere, West Sussex.
    Aircraft restored.

    To Ford, Bognor Regis, Sussex-West, England.
    WW654 was mounted on a pole and positioned close to the entrance of the former Royal Navy Air Station at Ford, in tribute to its previous life as an active airfield.It underwent a complete refinish during the summer of 2003 and remains on guard today, sporting its RNAS Culdrose composite colours.
