    Event

    Constructed as an A-17.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Canadian Air Force with s/n 3521.

    13 December 1940

    Crashed.
    Involved in a mid-air collision with another Nomad. Pilot Peter Campbell and observer Theodore Bates perished in the crash.

    November 2007

    A campaign was launched by the Royal Canadian Legion and the Lost Airmen of Muskoka Project to comb Lake Muskoka for the plane.

    July 2010

    The Nomad was finally discovered by Ontario Provincial Police divers, who also identified personal effects belonging to Campbell and Bates.

    Their remains were recovered by a Royal Canadian Navy team in October 2012 and they were honoured in an interment ceremony.

    29 October 2014

    Forward fuselage recovered from the lake.
