    Constructed as a N2Y-1 by Fleet.

    March 1930

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo A8605.

    March 1930

    Transferred to NAS Los Angeles, CA.

    1931

    Transferred to USS Akron (ZRS-4).
    With a skyhook installed, it was used for training pilots in launching from and recovery to airships.

    From 1933 to After December 1941

    Transferred to USS Saratoga (CV-3).
    After USS Akron crashed in April 1933, served as utility aircraft aboard USS Saratoga (CV-3), still serving there at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

    1984

    To National Naval Aviation Museum, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL.
