    Constructed as a Tornado GR.1(T) by British Aerospace at Warton, Lancs..

    20 August 1981

    First flight.

    4 December 1981

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n ZA555.

    By May 1982

    Transferred to Tornado Weapons Conversion Unit, RAF Honington.
    Operated with markings: 555

    2 December 1986

    Written off.
    Loss of control due to aileron failure shortly after take-off. Flt Lt J. Magowan and Sqn Ldr E. J. Wyer ejected to safety. The aircraft crashed into a field at Rookery Farm, Wortham. This aircraft was part of two ship mission, problems started en-route and attempted return to Honington was made with second aircraft as escort. While on long-finals control was lost.
