    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Lake Hood SPB Airport (LHD) Anchorage, AK, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. The pilot stated that after the float plane touched down on the lake, it veered left struck the bank of the lake. The aircraft came to rest on top of the bank about 7 feet from the water.

The certificated commercial pilot was landing a float-equipped airplane on a small lake and due to terrain clearance, a downwind approach was required. The pilot estimated the wind to be about 5 to 7 knots...
