    Not taken on strength, rather purchased for MAP delivery to the Italian Army.

    To Ministero Difesa Esercito with new c/r I-EIKN.
    Italian Army/Esercito Italiano Super Cubs were initially allocated a serial based on the US MDAP serial. For political/legal reasons within the Italian military forces, the aircraft were registered to the Ministero Difesa Esercito as I-EIxx [EI stands for Esercito Italiano, ie, Italian Army/Esercito Italiano], probably from delivery (J.Baugher).
