    Mr. Hoover piloted the pace plane. Appeared at the Cape May National Air Races to compete in the Unlimited class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Len Tanner. Raced in Heat 2B. Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 229.15 mph. Raced in the Reserve race. No time was recorded and finished in 4th place. Raced in the Trophy race. Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 321.94 mph. Flew N51LT as the pace plane for the consolation race then joined as a filler.

    Competed at the The Great Miami Air Race in the Unlimited class. The primary pilot was Len Tanner. Qualified in 14th place with an average speed of 247.67 mph. Did not start in Heat 1. Raced in the Consolation race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 229.38 mph. Pulled out while forming up when could not get the gear to retract.

    Raced as #44.
    Competed at the The Great Miami Air Race in the John Livingston Cup race. The primary pilot was Len Tanner. Raced in the One Mile Course race. Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 252.82 mph.

    Involved in an incident.
    While returning from Florida suffered a coolant system failure and resulting engine failure. Struck a car during the subsequent forced landing on a highway at Yanceyville, NC.

    Restored.
    Rebuilt, using parts from RAAF s/n A68-175 c/r N64824.

    Gear up landing at Henley farm.

    Placed in storage.

    Restoration started.
    Restoration started by Terry Rogers of RW Airframes. There was corrosion damage from storage. The project involved a new fuselage and rebuilt wings.
