    Constructed as a Hurricane XII by Canadian Car and Foundry at Fort William, ON, Canada.

    28 January 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Canadian Air Force with s/n 5662.

    28 January 1943

    Transferred to Eastern Air Command.

    Transferred to Labrador.

    25 September 1943

    Crashed.
    Crashed at Carter Basin, Newfoundland, but the wreckage not recovered.

    25 September 1943

    To No. 4 Repair Depot.
    The was a paperwork transfer to facilitate the write off of the airframe.

    25 November 1943

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the Royal Canadian Air Force.

    Circa 1972

    Recovered.
    The hulk was removed from a swamp near Goose Bay, Labrador.

    By 1972

    To Duane Egli, Fabens, TX.
    Obtained by Mr. Egli as a restoration project. This was part of a deal that saw both s/n 5708 and 5662 traded to Mr. Egli for a Champion Citrabria.

    Transported by ground.
    Moved to Texas.

    From By 1988 to By 1991

    To Len Tanner, New Baintree, CT.
    Obtained as a restoration project.

    To RRS Aviation/Robert Schneider, Hawkins, TX.

    Restored.
    Markings Applied: 5664, DT A
    This was a composite restoration with apparently 5662 providing the basis of the restoration with components contributed from five other airframe hulks also obtained from Canada.

    To Cavanaugh Flight Museum, Addison, TX.

    April 2006

    To David C. Tallichet, MARC, Chino CA.

    Loaned to Pima Air and Space Museum, Davis-Monthan AFB (South Side), Tucson, AZ.
