    Constructed as a Spitfire LF.IXc by Vickers-Armstrong at Castle Bromwich.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n MJ755.

    December 1943

    Transferred to No. 33 MU, RAF Lyneham.

    1944

    Transferred to Middle East Air Force.

    From Unknown to 13 March 1944

    Transported by ship.
    Dispatched by sea to Casablanca.

    August 1944

    Transferred to 43 (China-British) Squadron.
    Covering the Operation Anvil landings in South France.

    Bases included Ramatuelle, Sisteron, Lyon/Bron and La Jasse, before moving on to Peretola, Rimini then Ravenna in Italy, before ending up at Klagenfurt in Austria.

    February 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Hellenic Air Force with s/n MJ755.

    February 1947

    Transferred to 335 Squadron, Sedes.

    1949

    Transferred to Reserve Pilots Training Centre.

    1950

    Transferred to State Aircraft Factory, Athens.
    Sent here for overhaul, also being fitted with two fuselage mounted cameras for reconnaissance work.

    8 December 1953

    Last flight.

    Placed in storage.

    Assigned to Tatoi Air Base, Dekalia for storage.

    To Hellenic War Museum, Athens.

    1992

    To Hellenic Air Force Museum.

    2007

    Plans were started to get MJ755 restored to flying condition.

    23 March 2018

    Transported by ship. Delivered to Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar.

    Repair started.
    A very complete aircraft, this promises to be one of the most authentic and original restorations to flying condition ever carried out.

    First mid restoration engine run.

    To unknown owner with c/r G-CLGS.

    19 January 2020

    First flight.
    Piloted by Pete Kynsey MJ755. Watched by Flt Lt George Dunn DFC who had delivered MJ755 to the Greek Airfroce in 1947.

    September 2020

    Featured on the programme, Inside the Spitfire Factory, which focused on returning MJ755 to the skies.

    26 May 2021

    MJ755 flew out of Biggin Hill on a return journey to Greece via France, Italy and Corfu.

    Markings Applied: F-H
    Now Regularly flying with the Hellenic Air Force in Post War Greek Air Force Markings, blue and white roundal on Fuselage and wings, with red Squadron Codes.
