Lieutenant Commander Mark Feldman, Sr, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroic action on the morning of 11 November 1986 while serving as the aircraft commander of Coast Guard HH-52A helicopter 1428 during the rescue of two victims of an aircraft crash in Lake St. Clair, Ontario, Canada. LCDR Feldmans selfless actions and aeronautical skill were instrumental in the rescue of the two victims. |
