    From 6 September 1965 to 6 September 1965

    Raced as #69, named Md Airmotive Special.
    The race was from Saint Petersburg, FL, to Reno. Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Harolds Club Transcontinental race. The primary pilot was Jack Shaver. Raced in the One Mile Course race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 269.7 mph. Blew the tires on landing at Oklahoma City.

    To Chance Enterprises Inc, Half Moon Bay, CA keeping c/r N351D {1}.

    From 27 May 1966 to 30 May 1966

    Raced as #69.
    Racing modification included airframe cleanup with the fairing over of the wing gun ports. Also boundary layer fences were added to the lower surfaces of wing tips. The fuel fuel capacity was increased and round-tip Hamilton Standard propeller with cuffs was installed. Apparently arrived at the National Air Races Los Angeles, may have qualified and may even have competed in the Unlimited class, but we do not have any documented results (no times or placements). The primary pilot was Mike Loaning. No results were recorded for the race.

    Involved in an incident.
    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number MIA67D0210: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 16:00 hours. The damage was substantial. The engine failed or malfunctioned while cruising. Landed wheels up on touch down. There was a partial power loss with the failure of one engine. The emergency circumstances included; forced off-airport landing on land. Report remarks include: Pilot made intentional wheels up landing. Fouled plugs caused loss of power...
