    Constructed as a Beaufighter IC.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Australian Air Force with s/n A19-43.

    Transferred to 31 Squadron.
    Flew combat in Southwest Pacific.

    To K Oldfield, Nhill.

    1971

    To Australian Aircraft Restoration Group.

    Notes: A19-43 had ended its RAAF days as Instructional Airframe No.3 at RAAF Station Nhill,Victoria State, Australia and was sold off by Disposals after the war to local farmer Keith Oldfield who broke it up for useful parts

    Notes: seen on the 1972 visit was this fuselage of RAAF Bristol Beaufighter A19-43, from a farm at Nhill, Victoria.15 years later this and other Beaufighter sections were sold for restoration for the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson AFB Ohio, where it is displayed today representing USAAF 415th Night Fighter Squadron Beaufighter KV912 in the Mediterranean Theatre

    1987

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
    This and other Beaufighter sections were purchased for restoration.

    Placed on display.
    Marked as aircraft flown by Capt. Harold Augspurger, commander of the 415th Night Fighter Squadron, based in Italy, who shot down a Heinkel He.111 carrying staff officers in September 1944.
