Remains of the MV-1 were put in storage in a hangar at an undisclosed location. A rebuild of the A/C was planned, but the plans were held up by lack of financial funds. |

Louisiana was hit by hurricane Rita. The hangar where the wreck of the MV-1 was stored was destroyed. |

Han de Ridder reports: No trace of the fate of the MV-1 since. The Louisiana State Museum dows not answer e-mail messages with inquiries concerning the whereabouts of the aircraft. |
