Summarized NTSB narrative from report number MIA72AM093: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 19:30 hours. The damage was substantial. The flight departed from Beech Mtn, NC, with the destination Opa Locka, FL. The airframe failed in flight while descending. The factors included; separation in flight. Report remarks include: 90PCNT of fabric sepd frm rudder. One rudder rib sepd frm trailing edge structure. Landed okay. Incident occurred at or near Ft Lauderdale, FL.
