    Markings Applied: Miss Marilyn Gay

    From May 1945 to After August 1945

    Flew 27 combat missions, 3 fighters shot down with additional 3 probables and 5 immediate post-war POW missions.

    17 September 1948

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 44-70113.

    Transferred to 580th Air Resupply Squadron, Mountain Home AFB, ID.

    Transferred to 581st Air Resupply and Communications Wing, Kadena AB, Okinawa.

    By 1952

    Transferred to 3200th Proof Test Group, Eglin AFB, FL.

    13 October 1952

    Damaged.
    Mid-air collision 6 miles south of Eglin AFB, FL. Pilot was John F. English.

    By 1954

    Transferred to 582nd Air Rescue Squadron, RAF Molesworth, 1954.
    Operated with markings: Hoof Hearted

    Converted to a TB-29.

    1956

    Permanently withdrawn from use.

    1956

    Transferred to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
    Used as a target for weapons testing.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
