Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 337.505 mph. Started the Consolation race, but did not finish. The engine quit while rounding pylon #3 on lap 5. A Mayday was declared and the airplane was deadsticked onto 14. An intake valve had broken and backed up through the induction system causing the engine to backfire and then it was flooded out with ADI water.
